The Puna after Tolar Grande was the best part of my 5 days trip. Boondocking at an abandoned railway station at 4'055 m.a.s.l was a great experience. When you leave 20 km later the RP27 and go into the Desierto del Diablo you are on your own. Only 1 police car passed by and the officer asked whether I was doing fine or not. The country side is stunning and the road was much better than expected, especially the RN51 thereafter which was a catastrophe
