White Surprise

I left Banja Luka because rain was reported for Saturday afternoon and Sunday and I didn't want to get bogged down in the campsite.

Talking to the gas station attendant at the last gas station, I found out that snow was supposed to fall in the mountains. Mostar shouldn't be a problem, he just said

But when I found this brilliant spot on the pass on the border to the Mostar region and the weather didn't look any worse than at Senj on the pass, I decided to spend the night here The views of the snow-capped BiH mountains were awesome, the silence was breathtaking and even on the M16.2 there were almost no vehicles.

Around 21:00 it started to rain and it got windy. The next morning it looked like this

I turned on the infrared heater first and went back to bed. It's not "warm" in the Dog.O.Mobil, but it's not freezing cold either. But my batteries are suffering from the cold weather. Instead of the usual 15% I use overnight, I lost almost 50% last night. I switched from infrared heating to diesel auxiliary heating.

Better safe than sorry. Will have breakfast in peace and then check the situation.

The drive to the main road was a little bit of a stretch
