When I woke up this morning I couldn't believe that my first month is over
BiH, Montenegro, Albanien and the last days in Greece. I managed to drive 3´500 km without a problem <truck drivers and certain tourists do this in 2-3 days> and arrived yesterday in Gialova and the Instagram Hot Spot Voidokilia. As my daughters would say I do not trust an influencer from here to the toilet and I wonder how long they play around and fake pictures that they look perfect. But Gialova bay and Voidokilia beach are nearly perfect in early May and they are stunning.
I am parking on the headland towards the castle 30 m away from the sea. Further down the headland are more camper vans but my next buddy stands approx 50 m away. The sea is not really warm, enough to jump in cool down and relax in the sun. My self-made outdoor shower based on a Swiss military water pack and a do-it-yourself kit from my local store Brumberg at home works perfect.
There was no traffic after 21:00 last night and my breakfast this morning was stylish
My morning hike was pleasant except the few hundred meters up to the castle. The castle offers a perfect view on Voidokilia beach and is so different to what I know from UK or Germany. Pure Nature. No signs, no paved walks, only a small beaten path sorrounded by bushes, flowers, snakes and 1 turtle.
The climb up to the castle is steep, not secured and a little adventure.
It was the perfect day to enjoy the day and look back at my first month on tour.
